Stay at home, discover your home…
This is an unprecedented time for our industry, and any industry to be honest. However during this global crisis, the lockdown period can also provide at least a useful period for those who have always wanted to add value to their own homes or seeking their forever home.
If you have felt the need to update your home, now is the time to go room by room and create your very own wishlist (no matter how large!). You have the time to work on a budget and start thinking of a look and feel that suits you. If you didn’t know your house before, you will get to know it a lot more now! Whether it’s a full update, extension or adding designer touches to areas, this is the time to really get creative.
Moving out into a new home is probably on the last of everyone's mind, but given the time available, especially on our laptops, it can give you the chance to create a wish list of areas, types and size of property and size. We can actually help you if you want to create a desktop cost analysis.
Throughout the last few weeks, while holding video conference calls throughout the homes of potential clients, we have been able to still provide detailed design and build proposals. Although most construction sites are shut down, there is still plenty of design and planning to work on. Councils are still open, albeit a slower service, so planning proposals can still be submitted during this period, while the time can be used wisely to delve deeper into the detailed designs.
Suppliers and other services are all adapting to this new environment. We are always in constant communication with them and to ensure we find creative ways to provide a virtual mood board to potential clients (as well as virtual showroom visits). Full costings of confirmed materials and services can be prepared before a brick has been touched
So as you can see, there really isn't any excuse not to start thinking (and acting!) about your dream home. No matter how early you are in the process, we would of course love to talk to you and help out where we can.
